"Better fare hard with good men than feast it with bad."

-Thomas Paine (1737 - 1809)

Did you know: In theory Hershey Kisses got its name from the sound or motion of the chocolate being deposited during the manufacturing process.

Thought of the day: I've been given the privilege and honor of emceeing KJ and Krissy's wedding and honestly I'm a little nervous. I've emceed events before like in college or whatnot but none that were like life changing moments. This is like one if not the biggest moment of their lives and I'm the one to make sure everything is running smoothly and what not. Where Jennifer Lopez as the wedding planner when I need her.

Food for thought:

tiger prawns, cantaloupe crab stack, cantaloupe reduction

Didn't touch any of the leafy green stuff but it would've been appetizing any other time.

Pecan pie is the best pie.

Alan stoked on grilling chicken indoors.

Stuffed chicken thighs.

There's my bacon wrapped lil' smokies w/ brown sugar. Yum. Thanks Preez.

And there's the Filipino food I knew for sure I wouldn't eat.

Reinah, Sammy, and the newest addition Marley.

All time favorite dessert and what's going to be the death of me; leche flan.

MSG chicken; can't live w/out it.

Logan is the kuya of Marley. Rock out little one.

Ground beef and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms.

Not pictured: stuffing, mashed potatoes, steak, mac and cheese cassarole, the turkey and other stuff that I'm still eating a week later. Geez.

Good night Nico.

Dang Rei, rereading Twilight!?! I can't get past it once.

One day I'll be a grandpa (and rocking Innes button ups).

"Whoever gossips to you will gossip about you."

-Spanish Proverb

Did you know: Each pack of Smarties has about 25 calories.

Thought of the day: The end of the football regular season is just around the corner and you have no idea how sad that makes me.

Food For Thought:

Pickled Cherry Peppers, Tuna, Basil, Pinenuts

I finally found a big bottle of Ballantine's. Nick and I used to have a glass each night in Japan.

Alvin & The Chipmunks Beanie Babies. Such an impulse buy.

2 years and going. Every time I got to a supermarket I donate.

Check out the ill Illis setup at our PQ Workshop.

So fresh and so clean!

Those crocodile belly pillows are too sick.

"However far the stream flows, it never forgets its source."

-Nigerian Proverb

Did you know: My favorite movie, Mary Poppins, is 45 years old this year.

Thought of the day: Wow, I haven't had a hangover in months. Maybe this is why I stopped partying for a while. Birthday/wedding time in 2 weeks!

Food for thought:

Master chef Jojobean cooked up this grilled prawns, cheesy grits, balsamic reduction.

Traffic on Thanksgiving was only at Balboa Park.

Let the wild rumpus begin!

We met at the horse's ass.

Brothers. We don't look alike at all. I'm dark and he's light.

There were lots of cool dogs there, this is Noni the black lab.

The boys Nico, Jason, and Alan getting ready.

Oh my Lassie sighting!

The Museum of Art was crackin! Not, just joggers.

Here we go.

This is the Simba view of when he was running through the wildabeasts.

First place was done before the the initial crowded finally pushed through.

Oh looky, there's the other side of the lawn w/ more runners.

There's my bro setting our pace.

But I finished first.

Long time no see Jeremiah and Joy!

Have you ever seen shot sized orange juice cartons?

The saddest Christmas trees ever.

Live music always is a plus.

There's a lot more in Balboa Park than I thought. I found this amphitheater behind the Hall of Champions. I should really spend more time exploring this place.

SLAVE! SLAVE! SLAVE!

"He who waits for a chance may wait for a long time."

-Nigerian Proverb

Did you know: I owe a lot of my eating habits to my ex's.

Thought of the day: According to my "did you know" it's a good thing because if it were up to me I'd just eat Pizza Rolls and Mama Celeste $1 pizzas everyday. But thanks to the awesome women in my life I now enjoy vegetables, cooking, and other things I've never really eaten much.

BTW, Rashida Jones is on Jimmy Fallon right now. She's my number 1.

Food for thought:

Josephine made this grilled pork loin and pear compote.

Kimtan, Ollie, Rhoda and I have watched 4 away games at Hooters now and we've won each time. Can you say tradition/trend!

I was so hungry I had to order the chili cheese dogs and baked beans. Delicious.

Parmesan garlic, Daytona, and hot wings galore.

Wanna see why Ollie has a big smile on his face?

He got a picture and free performance from his favorite Hooter girl, Ashley (2nd from the right). Mine is named Katherine (not pictured).
