Did you know: I think I'm getting rid "did you knows."
Thought of the day: When we left for Canada we thought it'd just be a straight shot no prob. But we got hungry and decided to go with the wind and try out this diner in Washington.
The spot looked sketchy at best from the outside but when we got inside we met the most genuine, cordial, friendly, welcoming, and the list goes on kind of people and workers. The owners and family were working and taking care of all their guests and the people inside seemed to be daily regulars who just enjoy being there.
The walls were lined with photos of family of friends who joined the military and they had a section on the back of their menu explaining their genuine love for taking care of people as well a the history of the flag that flies outside the restaurant.
I must saw we were all taken back by the abundance of love and warmth that engulfed this tiny diner. I mean look, I just spent all this time talking about this tiny spot that made that much of a difference in our trip. It was definitely a highlight to say the least.
The world would be so much better if we all took a page from their book. Imma make an extra effort right now and from now on.
Food for thought:
Decadent peanut butter s'mores bars with a graham cracker crust.
