Alvinisms 1261

"Every artist was first an amateur."

-Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

Did you know: July 8th is video games day!?! What an idea!

Thought of the day: First day in Portland was pretty much an easy and fun kick start to our trip. Edwin had to work that day so Cheryl (she goes by both Cheryl or Ellen), Rose, and I went off on our own adventures for most of the day. But that pretty much meant eating a whole lot. We did do a hike but not without getting a little lost (but that's okay and awesome).

I'll be breaking the trip down into tinier and more numerous posts so it's easier to read and I can write more in depth about the little things that made it for lack of a better word, awesome.

Food for thought:

Succulent chicken enchiladas w/ spicy, smokey and sweet chili Colorado sauce. Say what say what!?! It all sounds good.

-Alvinism of the Wildboyz

Wake up in the morning to what we thought Portland would be; cloudy. But there was no rain.

The view right when you leave Eddie's place.

Meet the crew: Ellen and Rosie up top and Edwin and the finger down below.

Portland has many one way streets and tons of bikers. Here's a gem right out front.

I imagine the many walks of shame down this walkway.

So as you know I collect chess sets and I was hoping to find a unique that represents Portland here. It was the first thing we saw but it cost $2200. I'll pass on that grass.

I was crushing on the girl in the back, let the beautiful girls of Oregon begin.

Breakfast of champions! We didn't skip any meals because it gave us chances to eat new foods. Aaaaand, we added a few meals in between.

Right around the corner from Edwin's work and right before the trails. See the greenery in the next Alvinism!
