Alvinisms 1045

"I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship."

-Louisa May Alcott (1832 - 1888)

Did you know: The numbers '172' can be found on the back of the U.S. $5 dollar bill in the bushes at the base of the Lincoln Memorial.

Thought of the day: Back to school it is for me and I don't mind one bit. I had an amazing trip and enough time to relax and unwind after. Now if only my credit card felt this good.

Food for thought: See below.

-Alvinism of the Wildboyz

Baby Blues Ribs looked so good in Dives, Diners, and Drive-Ins.

Trust me, it's even better in person.

Watch it yourself.

Sweet mixed w/ XXX was my favorite combo.

Suicide King - Beef, pork, or shrimp on cornbread w/ cotija cheese and cole slaw. Our consensual favorite dish.

Grilled Shrimp Po'Boy had giant sized and abundant amounts of shrimp.

The Jack - Beer battered smoked link sandwich w/ cotija cheese and hot peppers.

The Hound Dog - 1/3 rack of memphis rubbed ribs and beef brisket.

Corn w/ all the fixens.

I made my own suicide king w/ mac and cheese and brisket. Dankage!

We are here.

Light and shadows.

Great week for a road trip.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped by Pepperdine to roll down their giant hill.

It also had a wonderful view. I see you Ilds.

It's unbelievably big.

But so fun. See you too Julz!

Look at my body being flung around.

Rolling Down Big Hills from Alvin Benavidez on Vimeo.

Good ol' fashioned fun.

Nice face Julz. Hahaha.

I am here too.

I look like a pirate somehow.

I don't know where I'm going, but I'll be happy when I get there and on the way.

Yippee skippeeeee!

I fell in the sand and ended up w/ this.

Should have taken an up close picture of Juli's glasses.

Male model.

Sunglass model.

Chris you look emo here.

Custom Hotel has plenty of cool things about it.

Including these random balancing chairs w/ expensive bike saddles.

I finally did manage to sit though.

Shnazzy lobby.

Heated pool.

Dang! Forgot to take a picture of the bar.

We're in Santa Monica and I'm not driving. Finally got to drink!

Not many people out on a Monday night.

3rd Street all to ourselves.

I know we said no chains but Ildi is from Hungary and has never been to Hooters. So we made an exception.

Plus nothing was really open late.

Let the fatty kid emerge.

The creepy thing about Custom Hotel is in their elevators there is a giant picture of a person.

That video seriously makes me want to roll down a big hill right now! That's it. I'm officially in search of the perfect hill to roll down.
